Walter Auer
 
Walter Auer was born in Italy and studied ceramics at the State Institute of
Arts in Faenza, Italy. After he graduated with an Advanced Diploma he worked with Chin Jukan in Miyama, Japan.

Walter then studied traditional wheel forming techniques at Ahmed Berktash’s studio in Avanos, Turkey. Walter also spent 2 years setting up two ceramic training centres at lepers' hospitals in Eritrea, before settling in Australia in 1997.
He has exhibited extensively in solo and group shows in Australia and
Europe.
